OCA Global receives BRCGS' highest rating for food certification

OCA Global has been recognized by the leading brand and consumer protection organization BRC Global Standards with a five-star rating, the highest available for a certification body. BRCGS is a standard recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), for auditing food safety criteria as well as product quality management applicable to companies that manufacture food and ingredients; manufacture gluten-free food; package food; and that store, distribute and transport. "Obtaining certification to the BRCGS Global Food Safety standard manifests the responsibility of companies to provide safe, quality food to consumers. We are therefore very proud to acquire the highest qualification as an accredited entity to contribute to compliance with this standard," said David Lao, director of OCA Global's certification business line.

BRCGS closely monitors certification bodies such as OCA Global with an extensive compliance program, and every six months reviews the star rating based on an increasingly demanding set of criteria.
